Meet the Residents of Rose Shore
I haven’t blogged very much about my own writing; it’s exciting to be about to share something very special about my debut cozy mystery series! I recently had character portraits commissioned as a fun way for readers to get to know my characters before my book is released on June 13, 2023 with TouchPoint Press. It’s amazing to be able to see the faces of these characters who’ve lived inside my head for four years. They seem so real now!

Six Reasons Why I Love Cozy Mysteries
The more I write the more I want to read and, although I read all genres, I tend to gravitate toward cozy mysteries (no surprise.) Cozies tend to have many of the same subjects and tropes, but each one is still unique and offers a new mystery to solve. Here are six reasons why I love reading cozy mysteries. Popular Websites for Discovering Books
What better way is there to procrastinate from a writing deadline then to spend time browsing the internet? Some of my favorite websites are designed especially for readers to discover new books, and I wanted to share which ones I tend to spend way too much time on. Bonus, some of these websites include ways to get free books! Continue reading “Popular Websites for Discovering Books”
What I’ve Learned While Writing a Cozy Mystery Series
Back in January I shared my exciting news of receiving a 3-book publishing deal with TouchPoint Press. At the time of the offer, only the first book was written, and since then I’ve been working hard on books two and three. Here are a few things I’ve learned along the way while writing a cozy mystery series. Maybe after all three books are published, I’ll do an updated post about things I’ve learned after writing a cozy mystery series. Cozy Mysteries I’ve Been Loving Lately: Summer Edition
It’s officially summer! And I realized all of the cozies I’ve been loving lately are perfect for reading in the summer time. Instead of warm, inviting tea shops and snowy settings, I’ve been reading cozies with themes centered around tourist locations, home projects, and summer time fun. So here are five cozy mystery series to add to your summer reading list.

#PitMad Twitter Pitch Party
What is #PitMad?
#PitMad is a Twitter pitch party run by the writing organization Pitch Wars. It’s a way for writers to pitch their books in a single tweet to multiple literary agents and editors. I’m a big fan of #PitMad because I connected with my agent through it last summer.
Cozy Mystery Series with a Side of Romance
Happy Valentine’s Day!
To celebrate the season of love and romance, I wanted to write a blog post listing some of my favourite cozy mystery series that contain a little bit of romance. Romance is rarely the focus of a cozy mystery (obviously, since there is an entirely different genre dedicated to it), but many contain romantic elements or even an entire subplot. And I have to admit these tend to be my favourites.
Here are seven cozy mystery series I love that have a dash of romance to go along with the mystery. I’m going to leave out the love interest(s) though so there aren’t any spoilers!
